Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge | U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service ( 321-861-0667 (Scrub Jay Way, Titusville, 32781) – The wildlife and habitat vision for national wildlife refuges stresses that wildlife come first. Stop by the Visitor Information Center (open Tues-Sat, 9-4) for a map. The best place to see wildlife is the seven-mile Black Point Wildlife Drive ($10 per car). There is also a Manatee Observation Deck, birding towers, and nature trails.

Port Canaveral Port Canaveral 321-783-7831 Home to one of the country’s largest cruise ship fleets, Port Canaveral offers the best in fresh seafood, fishing, and fun! Check out the Exploration Tower with 7 floors of interactive exhibits that allow you to learn in great depth, the origins and environment of Port Canaveral and all of Florida. (open 10-5) Cruise terminal B is where the restaurants and fishing and Exploration Tower are located. Cruise terminal A is where the free U.S. Air Force Space & Missile Museum and the best views for rocket launches are located.

In addition to great fishing, the pier offers fishing equipment rentals, beach rentals, regulation beach volleyball courts, lifeguards, and some of the absolute best surfing on the East coast!
